Capital Campaign Nears Completion

On Sunday, April 30, 2017, South Congregational Church launched a Capital Campaign to raise funds for necessary improvements to “bricks and mortar”, to upgrade much needed interior equipment and facilities, and to further the church’s mission.  The campaign is trying to raise $275,000 in donations over the course of the next three years.

South Congregational Church  proud to announce that as of June 26th, due to the generosity of many individuals, $265,000 has been raised towards this goal.  The bulk of the money will be used to rejuvenate, restore and repair the church building including items such as electrical upgrades, chimney repairs, furnace improvements, new floor in Fellowship Hall, window repairs, roof and gutter work.  This summer Fellowship Hall will undergo a major upgrade with the installation of a new floor, painting, and new tables and chairs.

All inquiries about the capital campaign should be directed to the co-chairs of the capital campaign committee Gail Maguire (drmagu4@comcast.net) and Nelson Cook (ncook4492@comcast.net).

You can conveniently make a donation to the Capital Campaign by clicking the green Donate button on the top-right corner of the homepage.  Enter the amount you would like to donate into the box to the right of “Capital Campaign” and then select whether it is a one-time or a recurring donation.  You may pay using either a checking account or a credit card.  If you prefer to donate using a non-electronic method please call either of the campaign co-chairs at the numbers listed above or stop by the church office by noon Monday-Friday.

The church encourages anyone desirous of supporting South Congregational Church’s historical role in the community as a place of worship and spiritual comfort to contribute to the capital campaign.  All levels of support will be deeply appreciated.

Thank you.
