Karen Crosby

Karen is a native Cape Codder who received both her Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from the Hartt School of Music in West Hartford, Connecticut.  She was the Director of Music at St. Peter’s (Episcopal) Church in Osterville for 25 years and prior to that was a piano instructor at the Cape Cod Conservatory and the Hartt School of Music in West Hartford, CT.  Karen has directed a broad range of choirs spanning all age groups and has performed on both the organ and piano all over Cape Cod and the Islands including as an accompanist and soloist for the Chatham Chorale.

Presently, she divides her professional life between church work and the position of bookkeeper/Girl Friday for her brother who is an eighth-generation boat builder.  Karen enjoys gardening and training her German shepherd, Ava, when she is not practicing.  She lives in Cotuit with her partner Jan (Polish for “John”) Karolczak, whom she met in high school.
