South Congregational Church, Centerville, is sponsoring “The Prophetic Spirituality of Howard Thurman,” Monday, December 7 at 1:00 p.m. and repeated at 7:00 p.m. as part of its “A Month with a Mystic” series. Led by pastor, author, and theologian Bruce Epperly, this program will focus on African American mystic Howard Thurman’s integration of spirituality and social justice. A mentor of Martin Luther King, Howard Thurman focused on the holiness of each person, regardless of ethnicity, and the presence of God in the non-human world.
